I was recently browsing my Facebook page and came across what I found to be an interesting article on "Marvels Most Concerning Questions" by Superherodaily.com. As I was reading this article I was thinking to myself, "This article is terrible." I knew right away that I could compile a far superior list. Their list was compiled of basic questions that when you sit there and really think about the question they are asking, it is a relatively simple question to answer. Their list is as follows...
1. Where is Abomination?
2. Is Coulson dead or not?
3. Why are so many Infinity Stones linked to Earth?
4. Why did both Odin and Thanos part way with such powerful Artifacts?
5. Why are there two Infinity Gauntlets?
6. How powerful is Scarlet Witch?
7. Were those visions of a probable future?
8. Where is the Mandarin?
9. Is the Collector one of the Mad Titan’s generals?
10. Is Loki still working for Thanos?
11. Just how small is the MCU?
12. Are the Fantastic Four going to join the MCU?
This list is just plain bad. There are three questions I do agree with however. Reading this list inspired me to compile my own list. Most of my questions will be answered fairly soon.
The last time we saw him in the movie he was engaged in the final battle with Cap. As the battle raged on, Rogers managed to throw his shield at Schmidt, knocking him back and damaging the machine that contained the Tesseract. Schmidt grabbed the Tesseract but, to his horror, the object opened a portal and launched Schmidt into it. Schmidt could only scream in pain and rage as he disappeared into the portal, vanishing from Earth. So this leads me to the question, where did the Tesseract take Schmidt? Did he survive? Could we possibly see him in the upcoming film Doctor Strange?
2. Who is Star Lord's father?
During the end of Guardians of the Galaxy we find out that dear old Star Lord is not a mere human. After all, he held the Power Stone. He is something "Half human, Half Ancient;" referring to who his biological father was.
James Gunn has already stated that Star Lord's father will not stay true to the comics. They intend to use their own, original origin for his father. This means we will not be seeing an appearance from J'Son, also known as "Jason of Spartax" and Emperor of the Spartoi Empire. So now we are left with the question; Who has helped craft such an upstanding young fellow?
3. Where did the duck waddle off to?
During Guardians of the Galaxy we were introduced to a new character by the name of Howard the Duck. He was introduced through a cameo as part the Collector's Collection before he was busted out of captivity in the post credit scene.
We last see our duck sucking down a much deserved drink of the Collector's finest whiskey (we could only assume) before he waddles off. Now, this makes us wonder; Will he get his own solo film? Will Howard the Duck play a role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol: 2?
4. Where is the "Real" Mandarin?
Iron Man 3 hosted an interesting villain, to say the least. The character of the Mandarin was introduced during this movie but he was not the one we are used to from the comics. This man we were introduced to was a fraud. Or was he? So many questions surround this character. For instance, is he the real Mandarin? If so, where did he run off too? Will we see him again? Will he be in Iron Fist? Will he be in Infinity Wars? The last question is a particularly intriguing one to me since Infinity Wars is set to debut a couple of years from now and as we know Mandarin once obtained and controlled the infinity Gauntlet. This character is far too important to the Marvel universe to just waste away on the side line as a joke character they once explored and failed.
5. How Will the Defenders play a role in the MCU?
With two down and two to go, Netflix has successfully launched Marvels Netflix campaign. Thus far, Daredevil season 1 (season 2 coming later this month) and Jessica Jones have been released and I must say they have been spectacular. Luke Cage is set to release later this year and Iron Fist in 2017. This only begs the question; will the Defenders only ever be on Netflix? Will we see any of them in Infinity Wars? Or, perhaps. in some grand event later on down the road?
6. Does Loki still work for Thanos?
As we all know Loki received his Scepter from Thanos, the Mad Titan (which happens to contain an infinity stone in it). Thanos gave Loki the Scepter so he could retrieve the Tesseract which Loki failed at in spectacular fashion. This makes me wonder if Loki still work for Thanos? If so, why?
7. Infinity Stones, where are they?
Since the beginning of the MCU, the brilliant minds of marvel have been planting little Easter eggs here and there with the grand scheme of something much larger in mind. Each movie is a small piece of the puzzle and what does the final picture contain you ask? Well, Infinity War of course! So, where are our infinity stones? Well, we know where four of them are along with both gauntlets. We already know where the Space, Reality, Power, and Mind stones are. Where are the Soul and Time stones? We can only assume one, or perhaps both stones, will play a role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol: 2. As I previously stated we do not yet know where the Soul stone and Time stones are but we know where the rest are. The space stone in none other than the Tesseract, last seen in Odin's Vault. The Mind stone is the stone in Vision's forehead. Reality Stone was given to the Collector for safe keeping. Last, but not least, the Power stone is deep within Nova corps, heavily guarded by an army. Now that we know where most of the stones are; how do you suppose Thanos will get his hands on these stones?
8. What role will Black Panther provide in Civil War?
Other than knowing that he will be in Captain America: Civil War and he will be #TeamStark, we know nothing of the MCU's version of the Black Panther. How will he play a role in the Civil War. Perhaps he is an advocate of the Registration Act after the battle between Hulk and Iron man in Wakanda (Black Panther's home). Many believe he is supposed to fill the role of Spider-Man. I am not too sure on the theory myself but what ever Marvel decides to do with him I am sure it will be the correct thing. #InMarvelWeTrust
9. Will Captain America die in Civil War?
In the comic books, Steve Rogers dies at the end of Civil War. Now, as we know, movies do not stay true to the comic books persay. We know that this movie will be far different from what the comic book was. With that being said; Will Steve die in Civil war? If he does; who will take over as Captain America?
10. When will we start getting new Heroes?
With the established core of Avengers already in the MCU, you must start to wonder when we will begin to get other lesser known hero movies. With a vast army at their command, I believe it is almost time for Marvel to begin calling upon our other heroes in the Marvel Universe. It isn't like there is a shortage of them.
11. Will Fox ever share their shiny toys?
The lack of major story lines in the MCU is due, in large part, to rights over characters. MCU has flawlessly persuaded Sony into dealing Spider-Man into the MCU. Now I assume we turn our attention to Fox. Fox has a larger portion of the Marvel universe in their arsenal, The X-men, Fantastic Four and more I am sure of. Just imagine the possibilities with Deadpool or Wolverine coming over the the MCU, or even the Fantastic Four. Marvel could masterfully craft the Fantastic Four movie, we have not only been waiting for, but deserve. While Fox uses and wastes X-men story lines, they could just make a deal with Marvel that allows them use their characters for a slice of the pie.
12. What will happen after 2020?
Marvel movies are slated all the way until the year 2020... for now. We can only assume that due to all the success the MCU has and will achieve, they will continue to produce more movies. You look at it this way; Every week marvel produces hundreds of new issues of comics. By the year 2020 Marvel will have covered hundreds of story lines. The cycle will never end. As long as there are comics being produced, there will be new movies to make. But here lies the question; what movies will they make next for what we assume they will call phase 5? Will our beloved founding Avengers be retired or dead by then? Will there be a new era of heroes to explore? Will MCU have finally liberated the X-Men and Fantastic Four from the dark grasp of FOX? Will we see an invasion story? Planet Hulk Perhaps? AVX? Who knows? The options are endless.
Now that we have explored Marvels greatest concerns, let us know what you think some of the answers to these questions are. Did we miss a great question that still remains to be asked? Let us know who's list you believe to be the better? Until next time this is NERDY Boy Scott and as always Stay Nerdy Boyyyyyyyyyyysss!!! and Girls :)
