The upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly features the main characters of Marvel's Civil War movie on the cover. However there has been much criticism over the cover. The image featured below shows our studly heroes. There is no dialogue from either Captain America or Iron Man and yet there is a small piece of dialogue next Black Panther the says "meow."
All of this seems to mean very little to the writers or editors of this issue. However, I think that many comic book fans will take exception to this piece of work. There are more gimmicky characters that lend themselves to this kind of joke. One that pops into my head immediately is squirrel girl. Black Panther is not one of those characters.
I don't want the readers of this article to feel that I am up in arms about this and that I am personally offended. I merely mean to enlighten those who do not know and to reassure those who do know about Black Panther. This is a character that has more to offer than most. I myself cannot wait to see him in Civil War and I know the Russo Brothers will do us proud on this one. Thanks for reading everyone.
